The Municipal Commissioner Vikas Gupta, at a meeting with his officers, said that roads, sewerage, sanitation and street lighting in the City should be attended to urgently. The Joint Commissioners should monitor their zones well. All officers must put in at least two hours daily in the field and also get feedback from the public. Gupta laid emphasis on segregation of garbage at source. He added that during the night the streetlights should light up the City, which will also make the residents feel more secure. Subsequently, the Commissioner and RK Singla, Chief Engineer, visited the shut down Bandhwari Waste Treatment Plant. The Commissioner said that the Plant must restart soon, using the best available technology.
