Budding Sportspersons
The Annual Sports Meet of the Montessori Wing of Ryan Global School was held this week. Apart from various races, the students of Montessori III presented a synchronized Dumbbells Drill, while the students of Montessori II presented thrilling Aerobics. The Head of the School, Ms. Andrea Martin, encouraged the Global Ryanites to maintain a Sporting Spirit.
Swachh Morcha
Madam Grace Pinto, MD, Ryan International Group, has been nominated as a Navratna member of the Mahila Morcha, BJP to motivate the education community to actively participate in this nationwide programme. A Cleanliness drive was held at the District Court near Rajiv Chowk. Top Administration officials and leaders, along with over 200 students, participated with great zeal. Madam Pinto said, “Keeping our country clean is an individual yet collective responsibility. Educational institutions can play a major catalytic role in achieving this laudable goal.”

A Rainbow of Talent
American Montessori Public School (AMPS) organised its Annual Sports Day with the theme ‘A Rainbow of Talent’, at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon. The Chief Guest was the Chairperson of the School, Mrs Lalita Trehan and the Guests of Honour were Arjuna Awardee winners and recent South Korean Asian Para Games champions, Mrs. Deepa Malik and Mr. Prashant Karmakar. The House Captains led the contingents of the four houses - Peace, Unity, Integrity and Fraternity. A well-synchronised Traffic Drill revealed different traffic signs, a scintillating Umbrella Drill displayed the spectrum of rainbow colours, while 'The Pyramid' demonstrated an excellence of balance and concentration. The Director Principal, Mrs. Anita Sharma summarised the Annual Report of AMPS and congratulated the students for all their efforts and the magnificent show of energy and creativity.

'FASTRAX'ing for India
Ryan International School, Sector 40 hosted the Annual Sports Day, 'Fastrax' - Play for India, at Ryan International School, Sohna Road. The guests were welcomed by the enthusiastic members of the (School) Cabinet, who were accompanied by the event Mascot - Sprinty, the cheetah. The Guests of Honour, Tejpal Tanwar (MLA Sohna), Gopi Chand Gahlot (ex Deputy Speaker, Haryana), Col. D.P.S. Raghav (National Level Kabaddi player) and Air Commodore Anil Sharma (Air Officer Commanding, Air Officer Station, Sohna Road), along with the School Head, Ms. Peeya Sharma hoisted the School Flag, took the salute at the March Past and declared the Meet open by releasing tricolour balloons - symbolising the spirit of nationalism and sportsmanship. Some of the unique performances were: Aerobics - ‘Global India’, by the girls of Class III; ‘Beats of the Nation’ - the Dumbell Drill, by the students of Class IV; Exercise routines, ‘Fragrance of India’ & ‘Incredible India’, by the students of Class II; Lazium dance performance by the students of Class V. Medals were also given to the winners of the 100m race conducted for the students of Anubhav School, a school for the underprivileged. Mahatma Gandhi House won the trophy for Excellence in Sports.

Ryan MPs
Ryan International School, Sector 40 organised a talk show on the 'Winter Session of Parliament'. Ryanites discussed the three sessions of Parliament - The Winter Session, the Budget Session and the Monsoon Session. The children enhanced their knowledge on the Land Acquisition, Insurance and Real Estate Bills, which would be discussed in the Winter Session (November 24 to December 23. TThe School Head Ms. Peeya Sharma emphasised the need for all citizens to follow the laws laid by the government.
Loyalty Indeed
Ryan International School, Sector 40 conducted a Special Assembly based on the value of the month - Loyalty. The students of Class IV D presented a Radio Jockey show that articulated how loyalty is the base of friendship. Callers on the Show shared their friendship experiences. School Head Ms. Peeya Sharma advised the students to be loyal to their friends - in both good and bad times.
Chopping 'em down
Ryan International School, Sector 40 won the second position in the 20th Delhi State Inter School Karate Championship 2014 held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in Delhi. The Karate champs from Ryan competed with over 30 renowned schools from Delhi and NCR and pocketed 9 Gold, 13 Silver and 17 Bronze medals.
