Medical Second Opinion, a healthcare and wellness platform, has launched its new mobile health application, to provide an integrated healthcare solution to patients and customers. The health and fitness app, which has been designed by Manusis Technologies, provides a comprehensive platform through which patients can consult, track and manage their symptoms with their healthcare providers and doctors even while on the go - using any smartphone or computer. The functionality and ease of use will allow patients and users to better understand and manage their health and, correspondingly, their healthcare costs.

The App(lication) has various functions, like: taking a second opinion, maintaining health records, health tools to gauge one's health, a health directory, a symptom tracker and a health quiz. The user is directly in touch with the largest pool of the most followed doctors in the country. The user can store multiple health records, by simply taking a photo of the hard copies and storing them in the confidential cloud space given to each account holder of the App(lication). The health tools provide simple interactive tools that allow the user to understand his basic body condition and derive key health information about his body’s health. A health directory is an all-encompassing list of diseases with conditions, symptoms and treatments. With a symptom tracker, a patient can check for symptoms based on the part of the body.; he can check symptoms from A-Z. This link is currently under work, and hence may be inactive. A health quiz keeps the user entertained as well as aware about the body and medical conditions.

The mobile health App(lication) empowers patients and users to take a more active initiative in their healthcare decisions, and offers a new way to communicate with doctors and health care providers as per their schedule. This can help eliminate the frustration of ‘waiting time’ on doctor visits. This Medical Second Opinion app is available in both iOS and Android versions and supports both tablet and smartphone form factors. Sachin Chaudhary, Founder and CEO of Medical Second Opinion, says, “With the changing times, the Healthcare industry has revolutionised remarkably. There is now a growing recognition of ‘mobile health’s’ potential to transform healthcare – to advance doctor/patient engagement and empower consumers to better monitor and manage their own health. We are excited about the launch of this App(lication), which leverages technology to engage patients and users; it would also help significantly benefit both the quality and cost of healthcare.”
