India Calling
25 schools from across NCR and some States participated in the two-day 5th India Calling Conference hosted by Manav Rachna International School (MRIS), Sec. 46. The student delegates participated in animated discussions on simulations of Operation Blue Star, National Security Committee & Article 370 - and passed resolutions at the end of the sessions. Alok Mittal, Commissioner Police, was Chief Guest at the Award Ceremony. Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President MREI and Dr. Amit Bhalla, Vice President MREI presided. The students were awarded in 3 categories, for each simulation. Rhea Srivastava and Arjun Chaudhary of Pathways World School and Shubhum of Suncity School were adjudged Best Principal Speakers; Natasha Lopez from Convent of Jesus & Mary School, Niwas Chadda from ITL School Dwarka and Kunal Kapur from Amity International School, Sec. 43 were declared Best Researchers; Rupal Anand of Ryan International School Gurgaon, and Bhavya Bhatia  and Ishita Soni of DPS, Sushant Lok bagged the Best Opponent Awards. DPS Sushant Lok also won the Best Participating School Award. All recipients were honoured with a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 10, 000. Emaad Muzaffar, General Secretary of the Conference thanked the (MRIS) School management and the Principal Ms. Dhriti Malhotra for their guidance and support.


Global Collaborative Learning Initiative Award

The Global Collaborative Learning Initiative of Manav Rachna International School, Sector 46 has been appreciated at the 4th digital Learning World Education Summit 2014, under the Public Choice category. The School believes that learning to collaborate helps us equip ourselves for effectiveness, problem solving, innovation and life-long learning in an ever-changing networked world. iCarnegie, IPC and Paragon are some of the School’s global collaborative practices.

SDCC, Ashburton in CBS, Gurgaon

As a part of British Council’s Connecting Classroom, Chiranjiv Bharati School have associated themselves with South Dartmoor Community College, Ashburton, U.K. The association aims at developing an educational exchange in the form of sharing of lesson plans, actioning of research projects and looking for opportunities to adopt each other’s teaching methodologies. Visitor teachers Mustafa Shaikh (HOD – Geography ) and Ben Mukherjee (HOD – Art) visited the School and participated in the teaching-learning process at all branches of CBS, Gurgaon. A parent/guardian interaction was also organised, wherein the guest teachers explained the concept of student exchange programmes. Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Saxena stressed on CBS’s vision of imparting an international standard of education, and on the importance of making Chiranjivians globally aware.




Ryan International School, Sector 40


Storyteller

Ryan International School, Sector 40 organised a storytelling session for the students of Class II, with the help of an expert from Scholastic.



Womens' Day

Ryan International School, Sector 40 celebrated Women’s Equality Day and paid tribute to Mother Teresa on her birthday. The School Head Ms. Peeya Sharma asked the students to be humane and sensitive, which is also the vision of the Founder Chairman.


Kanhaians' Ryan Day

Ryan International Sector 40 organised fun-filled activities at its campus for students from Kanhai village, who were invited to experience a ‘Ryan Day’. The School arranged the screening of an educational movie titled ‘Ped Bolne Lage’. The students from Kanhai also took active part in a card-making competition.  A ‘Kho-Kho’ competition was also organised. School head Ms. Peeya Sharma encouraged Ryanites to be compassionate and to abide by Chairman Sir’s vision of ‘Each one teach one’.
